Trail Camera Test 2014

Camera_Test_2014

New Cuddeback camera models are now available from the folks at Non-Typical, Inc.  The Long-Range IR E2 camera has an infra-red flash with a range of 100 feet, HD video capabilities, camera settings of 20mp, and more.  Cuddeback’s Black Flash E3 has most of the same features, but its range is limited to 50 feet.  The E3 emits less visible light for night-time shots whereas the E2 IR flash appears as an orange glow – similar to a toaster in action.  Both cameras are exceptional values for the money.  The only caution I would offer is that while using the “Lapse” feature – the camera can be set to take one photo every 15 seconds to one photo every 24 hours regardless of wildlife trigger – your SD cards will fill up in a hurry.  My cameras now have the “Lapse” feature turned off and my SD cards can easily handle all photos from wildlife triggers.

Below is a group of photos from our home-brewed July 2014 camera test.  The Cuddeback E2 was set at 5mp while the Cuddeback E3 was set at 20mp.  Can you tell the difference?  Additional photos from the Cuddeback Capture and the Reconyx Hyper-Fire have been included to offer different perspectives.  All photos were the first ones recorded when this promising young buck stepped into the frame.  Check them out and please contact us if you are interested in pricing for the new Cuddeback models – we are a proud Cuddeback dealer.  We can be reached at info@backfortywildlife.com.
